Scott loves softball and plays every chance he gets. He has drawers full of T-shirts he has won in one tournament or another. When I try to give any of them away to the D.I. I get in big trouble. This last weekend he put a team together for an all night tournament in Delta. Apparently they take their softball pretty seriously in good old Delta because this is the trophy Scott brought home- no, not for first place- for fourth place. There were twenty-four teams, so fourth place isn't too bad, but what in the world are we going to do with this monstrosity? I told Scott that I was glad that at least he didn't bring home another T-shirt. He then informed me that they got T-shirts too. Yippee!

Softball Madness

I hear ya- Dallan loves baseball and I always tease him that he cries worse when the Mariners lose than when our babies are born!
Wow, that is an awesome trophy! Did he sign it? He could get top dollar for that on ebay! Ha Ha, I think you should put it on a shelf in your front room so everyone who comes to visit can see it right awasy and Scott can tell them how he got FOURTH place in a softball tournament once! I love ya Scott!! I can't wait to see you guys at Mackay! I hope all is well! Oh, by the way, is that Cari, Scott's sister? Did she already have her baby? I thought she wasn't due until July? Always so many questions!
Yup, that's Scott's sister Cari. She had a C-section and they scheduled it a bit early. I will be sure to let Scott know you mocked his trophy and called him a shrimp :) He'll only take that kind of abuse from you.
How come Scott isn't holding the trophy and NOT smiling? I am dying to see a picture of him with an actual smile... how about it Scott? (this is all in good humor, of course)
I think that Scott wants to save all those shirts to wallpaper his family room with (I saw those bare walls just a waiting!) The 4th place trophy and all of his hunting mounts will only add to the "effect." Lori used to go to school in Delta and she said that wrestling was the big sport there then. They would close the whole town down for matches. Kind of sounds like a place Scott would like to live. Maybe you could use it as a paper weight in your office! :)
The trophy would make a perfect lamp! Hopefully Scott will come in fourth place again next year so you can have a pair!
As for the t-shirts (and I'm not kidding) make a quilt. Great to take to all future games to sit on!
