My own father will always have a special place in my heart. He is my hero. I can always count on my dad to be there to help me out or just to talk to. He has so many great qualities that I hope my son will have someday.
Scott has told me many times that he had an incredibly fun dad growing up. He fondly recalls spending time with him in Jackson Hole during the summers. Scott looks forward to the fall when they get together to go hunting.
We saw an amazing side to Bryson (Grandpa Barker aka Grandpa Cowboy) when he was taking care of Scott's mom before she passed away. He was incredible. He worked tirelessly feeding, and caring for his sweetheart.
I can't forget the grandpa's either. Both of my grandpa's have passed away, but I have so many fond memories of them- camping in the Uintah mountains with my Grandpa Hurst and fishing on Strawberry with Grandpa Johnson. Scott's Grandpa Pack also passed away, but Scott loves to recall when he would take Scott out for icecream or to buy him new shoes. Grandpa Neilson is our only living grandfather and we are so lucky to have him. We look forward every year to see him at the "blessed" river in Mackay, Idaho. Scott has always looked up to Grandpa Neilson.
In honor of Father's Day here are some pics of the fathers we love so much.
Great Grandpa Neilson:
