Corbin's Cowboy Party

My nephew Corbin turned five this month and celebrated his birthday "cowboy style" with wagon rides at Grandpa and Grandma's house:

Making Memories

I have some amazing friends who have been with me since high school. They were literally an answer to my adolescent  prayers. They are the type of friends everyone should have. They are lifters and builders and absolutely amazing examples. They have a huge part in who I am today. We still get together once a month for "book club" although it's never really about the book. We can sit and chat for hours about our lives- the struggles and trials as well as the triumphs. They are all amazing women who continue to touch my life today. Many of us were able to get together recently for a photo shoot. Even though it was pouring rain and none of us love to get our picture taken, I'm so glad we did it. I think they turned out great and it's nice to have a record of our time together.

Lydia's Birthday

Cari and Adam celebrated Lydia's 1st birthday at Canyon View Park. She made a pretty cute princess!
Deacon loves playing with his cousin Jocelyn, although I'm not so sure she enjoys his "rough housing":
He did get in touch with his feminine side and tried on Lydia's crown and wand. Actually he stole it and wouldn't give it back...
This horse was a fan of all the kids:
Deacon loved watching the ducks swim across the pond:

Deacon's favorite part was hitting the pinata- his least favorite part was waiting for his turn to hit the pinata:
He wasn't even interested in the candy he just wanted to find more things to hit with the stick:
Happy 1st birthday Lydia!
