1st Day of Kindergarten

I can't believe my Deacon is going to kindergarten! He has been counting down the days and was pretty excited to wear his Captain America shirt and carry his Superman backpack:

He is in Mrs. Olsen's class at Spanish Oaks Elementary:

The mom's got to go for the first 10-15 minutes to help get them settled in. He was ready for me to leave after about 5 minutes:
Deacon's favorite color is blue. His favorite food are tacos. His favorite sport is wrestling. His favorite movie is Back to the Future. His best friend in class is Oaklee. His favorite super hero is Superman. He wants to be in the army when he grows up. We love him so much!

Twins 6-7 months

7 months old and as cute as ever. They are rolling around all over the place and are pretty close to sitting up. They have been going to Aunt Anna and Uncle Logan's house while I'm at work and they love playing with the girls. They love eating pureed veggies, but aren't too interested in fruit yet. They love to kick their legs when they are excited and have the cutest little belly laughs:

Mackay, Idaho 2013

After a four year hiatus we finally made it back to Mackay for the annual Neilson family reunion! We were able to spend time with Grandpa Neilson and celebrate his 85th birthday!

Deacon was able to spend time with his cousins:
And meet some of his second cousins:
We all got to spend time in the great outdoors:
Including sleeping in a tent:
There was a huge Bocce ball playoff with brackets and everything:
 Complete with plenty of spectators:
A few adventurous folks hiked this beast:
Trucks loaded down with people and tubes headed to the river was a common sight:
 Preston, Lindsay, and Cole :
 Anna, Jude, and Logan
 Scott and Deacon
There was usually a volleyball game going on:
I was able to go on walks with my favorite 5-year-old:
We had happy campers:
 And not so happy campers:
Quinn and Carter in their giant camp chair:
We were entertained with a family talent show featuring Uncle Joe on his makeshift drums:
Verna and Randi with their interpretive dance:
Sammy and Hyrum with their country swing:
The Ron Neilson family singers:
This cute little guy won a trophy for singing his favorite primary song "If the Savior Stood Beside Me"
Fun times were had by all!
