Scott's OCS Graduation

Scott graduated from Officer Candidate School on November 4th. I flew to Georgia (without Deacon this time) to see it happen and spend some time with him. It has been a long 22 weeks! Basic Training was ten weeks and Officer School was another twelve. It was wonderful to see him in person instead of just on Skype, however we are so blessed to have the technology that makes it possible to see loved ones and talk to them on the computer! I don't know how we would have made it without! It is so nice to have him home now. Deacon follows him all over the house and copies everything he does. For the first couple of days Scott couldn't walk out of the room without Deacon noticing and asking, "Where's Dad going?". Things have settled down now. Scott is back to work- teaching at a new Middle School in Saratoga Springs. We are not sure what will be next for him in the National Guard, but it looks like there will be more training in the summer (hopefully Deacon and I will be able to tag along) and then a deployment to Kuwait next September. We are just taking things one day at a time and I am trying not to panic too much. We made it through five months, so a year is just that plus seven more...right? That's what I keep telling myself anyway.

Back together again!
