We had a delightful and spooky Halloween this year. Deacon kept saying to me, "Deacon scared of Halloween". I'm not sure where he got that from, but as soon as he figured out candy was involved his fear disappeared. Our celebration began with painting pumpkins for Family Home Evening in Grandma and Grandpa's garage. Deacon had a blast and ended up with a very colorful pumpkin and face:

Our ward had a fun activity for Halloween. There was a homemade chili and pie baking contest, lots of fun games for the kids, and of course plenty of candy. Deacon enjoyed playing "quidditch" with Harry Potter when he wasn't picking his nose... I'll be glad when he grows out of that fun little habit!
This is the whole gang at Grandma and Grandpa's house: the cowboy, the chicken, superman, the fairies, and the rocker:
Isn't that the cutest little chicken you've ever seen. He wore this costume last year, but it fit him better this year. He begs to put it on everytime he sees it in his closet. He loves strutting around the house squaking "Bawk, Bawk!" He stops occasionally to peck the carpet. He is fascinated with the chickens at Grandma and Grandpa's house, so he has the routine down pat. He loved trick or treating this year and it was fun hearing is cute little voice say: "Twick oh Tweet".
