Deacon at 10 months

Deacon will soon be a year old! He is getting so big and doing so many new things. He crawls faster than most people can walk and has even mastered the stairs. He is also pulling himself up to all of the furniture and walking around while he is holding on. We have had to baby proof the house in a big way! Even so, he is constantly finding ways around our baby proofing! He is fasinated by the computer printer and loves to hit the on/off button so he can hear it turn on and see the lights flash.

He loves to empty all of the cupboards and drawers he can reach, and much to Scott's dismay he loves to play with the stereo equipment and Play Station. Scott spent quite a few hours this past weekend trying to undo what Deacon had done to the surround sound.

Deacon seems to be drawn to the toilet and if we don't keep the door to the bathroom shut, he is elbow deep in toilet water before we can blink.

He is a little copy cat. He loves to watch others and then imitate what they are doing. Scott taught him to "conduct music" so now anytime he hears music his little arms are waving.

He loves lots of new foods especially pasta. He loves to make messes and hates to have his face and hands wiped clean. He has even learned a few signs and can sign "milk" and "all done" by himself. He loves to spend time at Grandma and Grandpa's especially with his pal Adrian.

Adrian got a new baby sister, Carly, on February 4th. She is a little doll and we can't wait to get to know her better! Grandpa decided he wanted to try his hand at raising chickens, so Deacon got to see the new baby chicks. He wanted to do more than just look, but everything he touches seems to go straight to his mouth. We feared for the little chick's life, so he had to settle for just pointing.
Deacon is quite the handful at church! He doesn't like to sit still for very long and most weeks I don't get a whole lot out of the talks and lessons. But, aren't they so handsome!

He is so cute! Steevi just said, "Scott sure does let Deacon touch his stuff"!!.. She was telling me the other day how when we came for the baby blessing that Scott sat all the kids down and went over the "Nobody touches my tv or remotes or I'll beat ya" rules. Hilarious!! Uncle Scottie is such a push over...had we but known. :) Where are all the pictures of you?? Give Scott the camera! Love to you all Jewl
