They're here! We are happy to announce that Levi Savage Neilson entered this world at 3:29 pm on Monday, January 28th and Lauren Estell Neilson followed 20 minutes after at 3:49 pm. Levi weighed 6 lbs 1 oz. and Lauren weighed 6 lbs even. They were both 18 inches long. We fell in love with these two instantly! My labor with them was a piece of cake compared to Deacon's! We arrived at the hospital early that morning. I was hooked up to the pitocin at around 8:00 am. I started contracting soon after and within an hour they gave me an epidural. It was a great epidural! I couldn't even tell I was contracting unless I looked at the monitor! We dozed and chatted with the nurses. I had the best nurse! She was amazing! My mom and then Kimberly joined us shortly before they wheeled me into the operating room at 2:45. They had me in the operating room just in case we needed to switch to a C-section. The only bad part was that my mom and Kimberly couldn't come in, but Scott was by my side the whole time. I pushed for about 30 minutes and Levi was born! He cried right away and they let me kiss his cheek before they took him away. Scott followed Levi while the doctor moved Lauren into the birth canal. By the time Scott came back Lauren was ready to go and I hardly had to do anything. Once she was in the birth canal she came right out. It took her a few moments before she cried, but it wasn't long. They whisked her away and Scott followed. The hardest part of the whole delivery was delivering the placentas, but other than that it was very smooth. They had the babies in my arms soon after. They have been sweet, peaceful babies. It has been a little overwhelming having two at once, but we have loved every minute of it!
Deacon was pretty excited to see his new brother and sister and probably more excited to see his new Captain America shield he got for being the big brother. He got to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's for a few days, so he thought that was great! Our first family picture:

We were back home by Wednesday!
They lost some weight in the hospital, so when we brought them home they were 5lbs. 11 oz. and 5lbs. 10oz. The newborn outfits I got to bring them home in were much too big! They both had high bilirubin levels so we were visiting the doctor's office often that first week home. Levi ended up needing a biliblanket to help his levels go down. Fortunately he only needed it a couple of days before his levels started decreasing
They are good eaters and sleepers and have gotten on a pretty consistant schedule of eating every three hours. I needed to wake them up at night for the first few nights, but they soon started waking on their own.

Deacon has adjusted fairly well and is a good helper. He loves to lay by them and smother them with hugs and kisses:
I love being a mama to these two sweet little babes:
Time is flying by so quickly! At the end of the first month they both weighed just over 7 lbs. They are so much fun and we are all completely in love with them!
