The rest of the summer was fun, busy, and went by too quickly! We went to the Fiesta Days Rodeo with Grandpa Hurst. We were at the tippy-top nose-bleed section and Deacon, who is afraid of heights, was holding onto Grandpa for dear life!
He let go long enough to gobble down his favorite treat- cotton candy!
We visited the two new baby colts at Grandpa's house:
We enjoyed the Fiesta Days celebrations and had fun watching the fireworks and playing with sparklers:
I got to spend a few days with some fabulous young women at girl's camp at Camp Koholowo:
We enjoyed lovely sunsets at the park. This is Deacon giving us a super hero pose:
Deacon got in touch with his feminine side playing dress up at the girl's house. He told me he was the evil witch and then proceeded to chase the fairy princesses around the house:
We visited Preston and Lindsay's new addition. Cole Preston Neilson was born on August 13th. Preston is one proud papa!
Deacon spent his summer as a multitude of characters including Peter Pan, Darth Vader, Spiderman, Superman, and most recently Harry Potter. Here he is fast asleep with his "Harry Potter wand" grasped tightly in his hands.
Grandpa took Deacon to the Fathers and Sons Campout with the rest of the males in the family. They found the perfect place to keep this rambunctious boy out of trouble:
Deacon enjoyed spending time with his cousins at the cabin and especially enjoyed the rope swing:
Summer is winding down and preschool will be starting soon. Fun new adventures are always right around the corner!
