My 22-month old has learned the letters of the alphabet! Now before you get any false ideas of me being an amazing teacher I must admit he has learned them mostly on his own. He is like a little sponge! He loves the Dr. Suess alphabet book, and we read it together quite often. He has also watched a few youtube videos of the alphabet song and has some alphabet blocks. That and Sesame Street is more or less the exposure he has had with the alphabet. A few weeks ago he handed me one of his alphabet blocks and said "B". I looked at the block and sure enough it was a B! I figured it was just a fluke and didn't think much more about it until his nursery leader asked me if we had been teaching him his letters. When we got home I got out some flashcards to just see what he knew and discovered he knew more than half of them! Here is a video of him showing off his skills. Keep in mind that he is only 22 months and has the attention span of a gnat. As you will see he gets a little distracted by the pictures on the back of the card. I have a better video, but of course I couldn't get it to download.

Deacon is getting so big. I love this age, don't you. I love that they can talk and they are so funny. Luke has quite the personality which is good and bad but they are so fun!
