We even rode the tram to the top and took in the breathtaking view.

It really was gorgeous and so nice to get away for a couple of days!

We do like the year round school thing. It really works for my son's personality. He likes downtime, but also enjoys being with his friends so it's a nice mix.
I think it lessens the new grade anxiety when your last day of the previous grade was just 3 weeks before.
He has the whole months of September and December off. He gets another 3 weeks off in March.
