Deacon's first word when he wakes up in the morning and last word before he goes to bed at night is "owsi" (outside). He would spend all day outside if I let him. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten our yard in yet (this weekend knock on wood), so Deacon spends his time playing in the dirt and mud, and eating and throwing rocks. We spend a lot of time at the park otherwise I would go nuts!

Trouble!
Are all little boys so busy? I ask myself every Sunday why I even bother going to church. I am chasing Deacon out in the hall 80% of the time. He doesn't know the meaning of sitting still. I look at other children his age and they seem so mild mannered compared to him. What am I doing wrong? He is never content with just sitting and playing with a toy or looking at a book for very long. He thinks he needs to be running and banging on chairs and windows. He has also developed this ear piercing scream when he is stopped from doing something he wants to do. It is awful! It's just a good thing Sunday's are only once a week. I never thought I would be one of those parents who count down the days until their child is a little older, but I am seriously looking forward to October when I can send him to nursery! I welcome any advice you more seasoned parents have to offer!

I wish I were so entertained by rocks:). When I was the nursery leader I invited moms in the hallway with their babies to come in to play with toys and have snacks. Maybe you could join in a bit early to help him get acquainted?
not being a mother, i have no advice to give. but at least two of my nephews were like this. peyton wouldn't hold still in church and constantly was running off down the aisles and chris was so noisy. so i don't think you are the only one with an active (and adorable, i might add) little boy.
Ha Ha!!! You are just getting started! My kids loved play doh, coloring books and crayons...just make sure you hide the hymn books!! It is amazing how fast they grow. What an adorable little man. Wish I could get away with wrapping up rocks for birthdays:)
He sounds just like Luke! He has the same scream and loves to be making noise or getting into things.
It sounds like he and my Devin would get a long marvelously- and into lots of trouble together! Boys are just busy! And so adorable!
