Deacon's First Birthday!

We celebrated Deacon's 1st birthday on Sunday, April, 26th. We cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. It has been such an amazing year! Scott and I feel so blessed to have this little guy in our lives. We still look at him and say to each other, "Can you believe we have a kid?" He has brought so much happiness into our family.

He is getting so big! At his year-old wellness check he weighed 22 lbs and was 31 inches tall, and yes his big old noggin' is still in the 90th percentile. That's just to hold his big brain! He started walking a couple weeks before his birthday, so he is even more difficult to keep up with! He talks all the time now- just not in a language we can understand. Occasionally we can make out a few words: "Hi", "Light", "Truck", and "Whazzat?" are the most clear.

It was wonderful to have our house filled with so many loved ones, even if it was standing room only. Deacon is lucky to have so many people who love him and wanted to spend the day with him.

He loved opening his presents and he was definitely spoiled!

His cousin Kaiden's birthday is also on the 26th, and we celebrated his birthday with a big family barbeque the day before:
