Guinea Pig

No, I'm not performing crazy science experiments on my baby, it just looks like I am! BYU called and asked if I would be willing to bring Deacon in to participate in a study they were running on language processing for five month old babies. If you know me, you know I can't say no to anyone, so there you have it. It was pretty interesting. They put the little net over his head with receptors that somehow made it possible for them to see which parts of his brain were active. They had him watch a video of women saying "Hi, baby" over and over again. Sometimes the words were in synch with the mouth and sometimes they weren't. It was a pretty boring video, but man was he glued to that screen!

That is little freaky looking. At first I thought something happened to him, but then I saw his cute "happy" face.

I agree with Haylee...that thing is freaky! So what do they see when they have him watch the movie? Seriously...I feel like it's some crazy back to the future science experiment!

Let's hope they paid you ($$) a little something for Deacon's "pain and suffering"!

So what did you find out about that, anything? He has very beautiful blue eyes, and good for you for being so trusting with your baby boy!
